Double boost for Shropshire Home

Double boost for Shropshire Home
Whitchurch-based Edgeley House care home has two reasons to celebrate as it has made an experienced appointment and is undergoing major refurbishment work to benefit its residents.

Ann Wynn, who has more than 30 years’ experience in the care sector, has been appointed to the role of Manager. Following five years of training, Ann qualified as a registered general nurse in 1987 and has since gained extensive qualifications and invaluable experience in Clinical Skills, Management and Nurse Education.

The home is also undergoing a major refurbishment as part of Akari Care’s £12million investment programme in its homes throughout the UK.

A number of bedrooms in the home are being re-decorated, including the replacement of carpets, curtains and chairs to make the areas more appealing and comfortable for residents.

Ann said: “The environment of a care home is extremely important and has a major impact on the lives’ of residents and needs to be safe, fresh and comfortable. This major investment will have a positive impact on the home making the area more appealing and, above all, will offer an even greater standard of living for our residents.”
