Akari refurb accelerates
Yarm-based Ayresome Court Care Home is undergoing a major refurbishment as part of Akari Care’s £12million investment programme in its homes throughout the UK.

Following redecoration work to communal areas in the home last year, refurbishment work will continue, concentrating on the residents’ personal spaces. A number of bedrooms in the home will be re-decorated, including the replacement of curtains and chairs to make the areas more appealing and comfortable for residents.

Located on Green Lane, Ayresome Court is a purpose-built care home that provides nursing care for up to 43 elderly residents.

Akari Care aims to maintain lifestyles as similar as possible to those enjoyed at home, with an extensive range of activities which individuals can enjoy and benefit from.

Claire Hutchinson, Manager at Ayresome Court Care Home, said: “The environment of a care home is so important to the well-being of the residents. Quality is at the heart of everything we do and that includes the environment of our home, which we like to keep as fresh and comfortable for our residents as possible.

“Everything is geared towards achieving positive outcomes for the people who live in our homes and every effort has been made to ensure that our residents cope well with the refurbishment work. This major investment will make a real difference and we are looking forward to seeing the finished home soon.”
