HILL CARE RAISES HUNDREDS FOR CHILDREN IN NEED

Hill Care Group homes have collected hundreds of pounds for Children in Need through a variety of fundraising activities.

Pudsey pyjamas, onesies and leg waxing are amongst the fundraising activities which have helped care homes across the north of England raise funds for Children in Need.

Hill Care Group homes have collected hundreds of pounds for the charity through a variety of fundraising activities.

Residents, staff and volunteers at Halton View Care Home, in Widnes, Cheshire, raised £60 through a sponsored leg wax.

At Pelton Grange Care Home, in Pelton, Chester Le Street, homemade cupcakes, tea loves and a themed chocolate cake were raffled, generating £82.

And at Ingleby Care Home, Ingleby Barwick, Stockton on Tees, residents painted their own polka dot-t-shirts as well as making shortbread and cupcakes, collecting £80.

All of Hill Care’s 25 homes held fundraising activities for Children in Need, joining the rest of the country to raise over £50 million for good causes.

Wendy Waddicor, Managing Director of the Hill Care Group, said: “Children in Need brings the whole nation together to raise funds for a variety of worthwhile causes.

“Our homes and residents get involved every year, doing their bit to collect as much money as possible, from selling cupcakes to dressing in Pudsey pyjamas.

“We believe it’s important for our residents to feel connected to their communities and fundraising activities like Children in Need are a vital part of that.

“They are proud of the money they have raised and look forward to participating again next year.”
