SWANTON CARE AND COMMUNITY CROWNED EMPLOYER OF THE YEAR

SWANTON CARE AND COMMUNITY CROWNED EMPLOYER OF THE YEAR
Adult social care provider, Swanton Care and Community, has been named The Employer of the Year (Independent) at The National Learning Disability and Autism Awards.

Swanton CEO Dr Alison Rose-Quirie collected the prestigious prize at the ICC in Birmingham and was praised for her leadership skills by the judges.

They said the Swanton CEO had developed the business through big changes and installed a culture of positivity and effective working practices.

Alison said she was delighted to accept the award on behalf of her team.

She said: “To win this award is a wonderful achievement and real recognition of the how we have all pulled together as a team over the last 12 months.

“We have worked hard to develop a service philosophy that ensures we all act with a common goal – the delivery of the highest quality care and support for people with learning disabilities and autism.

“This is an exciting time for Swanton and I want to thank everybody in the team for all their hard work.”

More than 700 people attended the awards ceremony on July 14 at Birmingham’s flagship venue. The gala dinner was hosted by TV personality Christopher Biggins.

Awards guests represented all areas of the sector, including inspirational people with a learning disability, charities, private care providers, residential and nursing homes and local authority adult social care departments.

This is the second high profile award in as many months for Swanton. In June the team won Complex Care Provider of the Year at the prestigious Health Investor Awards.
