Residents and the Care Team at Little Bramingham Farm, the Luton-based residential care home run by charity, Friends of the Elderly, which is celebrating its 120th Anniversary this year, are getting their jingle on and not getting their fairy lights in a tangle, as they prepare for the care home’s annual Community Christmas Spectacular.
On Sunday 7 December from 11am – 4pm, Monday 8 December from 3pm to 6:30pm, and Tuesday 9 December from 3pm to 6pm, Little Bramingham Farm will be transformed into a magical Christmas Winter Wonderland, complete with Santa’s North Pole Workshop, and very special guests all the way from The North Pole – the big man himself, Mrs Claus and his cheeky Elves – who are all really excited and happy to meet the residents and local children.
“There will be lots of fabulous activities for the residents and local children to take part in as well,” said Karen Charity, Little Bramingham Farm Care Home’s Activities Coordinator. “Santa’s Grotto will be filled with ‘Fir-tastic’ festive activities where the residents and local children can get ‘Christmassy Creative’ making Reindeer food and biscuit decorating – and we can even promise there will be snow.
“Susie’s Tea Room, which is located in the care home’s ‘Be-yule-tiful’ Christmas gardens, will be wonderfully decorated for the yuletide season and be open to everyone for tasty festive cakes and, of course, warming drinks.”
However, that’s not all - Little Bramingham Farm Care Home’s Community Christmas Extravaganza events will also have a Christmas Fayre with a selection of local artisan stalls selling a range of wonderful gifts including candles and other arts and crafts.
“We hope to welcome many members of our local community, old friends and new, to our Community Christmas Winter Wonderland and Santa’s Grotto. All three merry dates are going to full of festive fun and will be the ideal way for everyone to start the most magical time of the year,” Emma concluded.
