CARE HOME JOY AS ALL RESIDENTS FULLY VACCINATED

The Beeches Residential Home was visited by its local doctor who immunised all residents and staff with the second dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine.

Residents and staff at an Ixworth care home have received both doses of their COVID-19 vaccinations.

The Beeches Residential Home was visited by its local doctor who immunised all residents and staff with the second dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine.

Bev Shave, Deputy Home Manager at The Beeches, said: “After such a difficult year for us all, this feels like such a huge step towards getting back to some normality.

“I am so proud of the team and how they have continued to work tirelessly throughout the pandemic, prioritising the health and care of our residents.

“Now that everyone in the home has had both doses of the vaccine, we can start to work towards getting back to a new normal but will remain extremely vigilant in our approach.”

Following the recent Government guidance regarding visiting rules, The Beeches Residential Home is now allowing residents to nominate one family or friend to make regular visits to the home.

Visiting is taking place either indoors in the dedicated COVID-secure pod or, if weather permits, family and friends are able to sit outside and enjoy the spring sunshine in The Beeches garden area.

Testing is only required if visitors decide to enter the home and will be asked by a member of staff to take a COVID test three days prior to their visit.
