Homecare provider Home Instead Senior Care ended 2017 on a high after it was named Best Employer in Care’ and the number one franchise company.

The company has been recognised as ‘Best Employer in Care’ for the second consecutive year. The award of 5 Star Employer is based on the feedback from thousands of the Home Instead’s caregivers and is only awarded to the top 10% of 120 organisations which enter.

Steven Frost, CEO of Smith and Henderson, organisers of the Best Employers in Care, said: “The care sector too often receives negative publicity – in contrast Home Instead Senior Care has a strong culture whereby caregivers have the right support and training; are well led and have a strong commitment to deliver outstanding care.”

Home Instead has also been named as the UK’s number one franchise business in the Elite Franchise 100. This is an annual league table, ranked by a panel of experienced judges on core criteria including growth, support, innovation, network size and future plans.

Commenting on the recognition his company has received, Martin Jones, Managing Director of Home Instead Senior Care, said: “We are immensely proud to be recognised as a Best Employer in Care and also as the UK’s number one franchise.

“It proves that we are succeeding in our mission to become an employer of choice in the UK and that our model of person-centred home care really works, not only for our clients but for our caregivers too.”

During 2017 Home Instead has also been awarded 12 CQC outstanding ratings – the company has 22 in total, more than any other homecare provider.
