CARE HOME RESIDENTS SHARE THEIR ADVICE FOR KING CHARLES

“Keep calm”, “take a day off at least once a week” and “share your biscuits” are some of the pieces of advice Bupa care homes residents have shared with fellow pensioner and soon-to-be-crowned King Charles III.

Ahead of the Coronation celebrations, residents at Lindley Grange Bupa Care Home and The Manor House Bupa Care Home have shared their worldly wisdom to help the new monarch settle into his new role.

Lindley Grange Bupa Care Home residents wanted to share positive messages of reassurance with King Charles, with 94-year-old Pat rallying him to “go along with it” and June, aged 90 urging the king to “not listen to negativity”.

Similarly, 90-year-old Angela shared advice on dealing with public duties, advising King Charles to “make sure you do well with people”, and Sheila, aged 87, notes that it’s the little gestures that count, with a reminder to “share your biscuits!”.

While Louise, 62, shared humbling advice: “Please, for the sake of Camilla, take a day off once a week!” reminding the new King that royal duties don’t excuse you from marriage duties.

But overall, residents think the new King will do a stand-up job, with Ann, 85, having the final say: “I already think you’re a pro”.

Bupa care home residents share their advice for King Charles III:

•Don’t listen to negativity

•Keep calm, be pleasant to others and be yourself

•Please for the sake of Camilla take a day off once a week!

• Stick to your guns

• Share your biscuits!

• Be happy and satisfied with what you do

• Make sure you do well with people

• Go along with it!

• No advice – already think you’re a pro!
