PREPARING FOR YOUR CHILD’S TRANSITION TO ADULTHOOD

PREPARING FOR YOUR CHILD’S TRANSITION TO ADULTHOOD

On Friday 24 June, Dimensions, one of the largest providers of support in the UK for adults with learning disabilities and/or autism, is hosting a free online event for any family whose child is leaving specialist education in the Summer of 2023 or 2024.

The period of transition from child to adult health and social care can be a complex, overwhelming and daunting time for both families and carers. There are many life-altering decisions to be made and simultaneously the legal rights of children change as they reach adulthood.

Join the webinar event to gain top tips and first-hand advice from people with learning disabilities who have been through it before. There will be a panel of family experts for attendees to put questions to, from housing options and finances to the law and individual legal rights.

This event will take place via zoom from 11am – 12.30pm on Friday 24 June. Transitions teams and schools are also welcome to join.

Free tickets can be booked here.
