Radis Community Care is hosting a free event for over 65s, providing the community with the opportunity to learn more about the care services available to them in and around Burton upon Trent.
The Golden Age event is being hosted at Red Lion House Community Centre in Horninglow, Burton upon Trent between 10am and 12pm on Wednesday 24th June.
As well as offering free tea, coffee and cake to those in attendance, the event will showcase the services available in the local area.
Radis Community Care is bringing together local services, businesses and charities to help support the community, including Specsavers Home Hearing and Eye Tests, ICare Cuisine: Meals on Wheels, Dovebourne Care Home, and Murrays Funeral Directors.
Pirelli Community Hub provides a range of activities and clubs on a weekly basis, and will be attending the event to encourage the local community to keep active and to increase their social activities.
Cassandra Cobley, Service Manager at Radis Community Care, said: “We’re keen to bring local communities together and this event enables us to provide the over 65s with the opportunity to meet new people, whilst informing them of the services available to them within the area.
“Whether people require care now, are forward planning or simply seeking a morning to meet like-minded people, we hope this event is informative and beneficial.”
The event has been organised to showcase the care provider’s multiple services, informing people of the options available to them as they reach their golden years.
