BELONG CREWE SHINES AT THE GREAT BRITISH CARE AWARDS

Belong Crewe Shines at the Great British Care Awards

A high commendation and seven finalist placings have made their way into the display cabinet at Belong Crewe after the town’s dementia specialist enjoyed a stunning night at the North West regional Great British Care Awards.

Mia Stennet impressed judges who heralded the care support worker for being a ‘patient and compassionate individual with a genuine passion for personal growth’, handing over a high commendation for the Care Newcomer Award in the process.

The Brookhouse Drive care village finalists celebrated their placements for their work supporting older people to enjoy active later lives in a caring community.

Belong Crewe general manager, Caroline Anthony, said: “We are so proud of our team for their wins at the Great British Care Awards, and are delighted to see their commitment and impact recognised in this way.”

Colleagues attaining finalist placings were: Alicia Spurrier, Sam Doherty, Mia Stennet (Care Home Newcomer); Abby Warren (Home Care Newcomer); Jessica Murphy, Taya Terry (Dementia Care Award); Sharon Bull (Workforce Development Award); Duke House team (Palliative Care Award);

The annual Great British Care Awards acknowledge those working in the care sector throughout the UK, with winners from November’s regional finals advancing to national awards in early 2026.

The news follows Belong’s recent win at the prestigious HealthInvestor Seniors Housing Awards 2025 having taken the title for Operator of the Year for its holistic approach to care, breaking the mould of the ‘traditional care home’ by promoting an active lifestyle for customers.
