Heritage Manager registers CQC success

Heritage Manager registers CQC success
Sarah Dowell, Manager of Heritage Healthcare in York, has been awarded the Care Quality Commission (CQC) Registered Manager’s Certificate.

The CQC’s responsibility is to ensure that all care services in England provide safe, effective, compassionate and high quality care. Under the Health and Social Care Act 2008, it is a legal requirement that a care manager undertakes the CQC registration process.

The application follows a series of checks and processes to determine the eligibility and suitability of the individual. In addition to CRB verification, the approval process includes a ‘fit person’ interview, positive references and a medical check.

Sarah, who joined Heritage Healthcare almost a year ago and is based at the company’s York offices at Tower Court, Clifton Moor, has more than 20 years’ professional experience in the care sector, both home care and within nursing homes. She is responsible for 65 customers and 20 staff.

Sarah, who lives in York, said: “My main goals are to provide a strategy and set foundations to continue to grow the business in the York area. I want Heritage Healthcare to become the named provider for good quality care in York.”
