SAFETY FIRST FOR TRITON’S CARE RANGE

Building on its commitment to the manufacture of market leading showers for all requirements, Triton, The Great British Shower Company, has developed a range of expertly designed care showers to bring a safe, invigorating shower experience to the bathrooms of the elderly, visually impaired or physically disabled.

Through in depth discussions with carers and advice from the RNIB and BEAB, Triton has developed a series of solutions for independent living. Design features such as audible controls and clearly defined operating controls are just some of the benefits brought together to create a safe showering environment.

Triton’s Care range comprises of six electric and 13 mixer shower designs, each of which has been designed and manufactured to fulfil a whole host of end user requirements.

The Triton Safeguard Care electric shower features thermostatic temperature control which has BEAB Care approval and the full endorsement of the RNIB for complete assurance over safety and ease of use.

The Safeguard Care’s large push button for starting and stopping the shower and easy grip temperature control lever ensure the shower’s settings are easy to operate and that the temperature can be adjusted easily for the whole family. Other accessibility benefits included are: a selectable and tamperproof maximum temperature setting, an audible feedback option and a built in timer setting with phased shutdown providing added safety assurance.

For homes with a readily available supply of hot water, Triton’s Elina TMV3 mixer shower is designed to bring a safe showering option without compromising on luxury bathroom aesthetics.

Tamper proof lever controls and automatic shutdown in the event of a loss of either the cold or hot water supply complete a set of safety features backed by the TMV3 thermostatic safety standards and the Water Regulations Advisory Scheme (WRAS).

Steve Saunders, Senior Technical Manager at Triton, said: “With independent showering so important to everyday lifestyle, we are keen to ensure we can offer a range of different options for those who need that added safety assurance. Our range has been developed following in depth discussions with carers and advice from some of the best recognised safety assessment bodies in the UK.”
