Running from 21st to 22nd May at the BT Convention Centre, Liverpool, the conference is dedicated to encouraging safer, more accountable, measured care in an integrated system..

Other headline speakers include TV’s Dr Phil Hammond, who will chair the first day, Professor Sir Mike Richards, Chief Inspector of Hospitals, CQC, Dr Maureen Baker, Chair, Royal College of General Practitioners and Jane Cummings, Chief Nursing Officer, NHS England.

Jackie Brock-Doyle, Former Director of Communications and Public Affairs, LOCOG, Dr James Reinertsen, Former Chief Executive Officer, Care Group, USA and Professor Clifford Hughes, Chief Executive Officer, Clinical Excellence Commission, Australia will offer an NHS-alternate perspective from around the world.

Georgie Mailer-Howat, Global Series Manager for Patient Safety Congress commented: “2014 is a critical year for patient safety. After all the reports of 2013, how have systems and cultures changed in reality? In the UK, how has the integration of health and social care, and of CCG procurement powers affected or enhanced patient safety initiatives? Internationally, how are alternate models offering fresh perspective? These are the questions we aim to answer at PSC this year.”
