HEALTH SECTOR CONFERENCE CENTRE WINS CHS AWARD

Horizon Leeds, the first purpose-built conference centre for NHS and health organisations in the north of England, has won two awards at this year’s CHS Awards.

Horizon Leeds, the first purpose-built conference centre for NHS and health organisations in the north of England, has won two awards at this year’s CHS Awards.

At a ceremony held on Thursday 31st May in Manchester, the venue won best onsite audio-visual award for the third consecutive year. It also won the award for best technological advancements – a new category for this year’s awards.

This year, more than 230 hotels, venues and event suppliers entered the fourth annual CHS Awards. The nominations were announced in April. The judging panel consisted of over 50 agency event professionals.

The two victories come after the centre this year overhauled its digital signage systems and added a 75-inch interactive touch screen to replace an outdated projector-and-screen SMART Board.

Natalie Pitts, General Manager of Horizon Leeds said: “It is absolutely fantastic to win best onsite audio-visual award, especially for the third consecutive year. We pride ourselves on being able to offer a fantastic bespoke digital service to our clients, so to take home this award again really puts it into perspective that we are providing a great offering and service.

“It is a great feeling being recognised not only for our advancements in conferencing technology but for the technical service we provide. We are always on the lookout for new products to wow our clients and with more innovations up our sleeve, we are really looking forward to seeing how the conference centre develops over the next year.”
