Catering Academy Expands Healthcare Offering

Catering Academy Expands Healthcare Offering
National independent catering company, Catering Academy, has appointed Jason Jones as its first General Manager of Healthcare.

The new role has been designed by Team Academy to expand its offering within the healthcare sector. Jason previously worked in care homes and private hospitals and joins the team from Elior Contract Caterers where he spent five years as Healthcare Development Manager.

Catering Academy has also appointed Robert Smith, previously from catering firm 3663, into the   role of Purchasing Director.

Robert’s appointment to this second newly created role is part of Team Academy’s drive to deliver sustainable procurement policies and expand on current lines which support government buying standards, such as free range eggs, red tractor cheese and pole and line caught tuna.

Commenting on his new appointment, Jason Jones said: “It’s great to be joining such a fantastic team here at Catering Academy. There’s so much scope for me to be able to grow the healthcare sector and realise the potential of making a real impact within this growing market. With over nine years of experience within the healthcare sector myself; I am ready and equipped to take on the challenge.”

Newly-appointed Robert Smith also commented, saying: “It is a great pleasure to be part of Team Academy – which is a company that shares the same ethos and values as I do. I was ready for a challenge, and the role of Purchasing Director was the perfect career move. I am particularly looking forward to supporting the business in obtaining ISO 14001 a sustainable business guarantee which is a key objective for Catering Academy in the future.”
