Choice opens its 50th care home

Specialist care provider Choice Care Group has opened the doors to its 50th care home.

Holmhurst, which officially opened last month, is Choice Care Group’s newest home in Salisbury, Wiltshire.

The home has eight en-suite bedrooms and a self-contained annex that provides a flexible residential care option for a service user who enjoys the opportunities afforded by living in a larger property, such as socialising with other residents, but finds living with other people to be challenging.

Holmhurst welcomes both male and female adults with mental health disorders and complex needs, including diagnoses of personality disorder, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and a history of risk to themselves or others.

Service users are supported with 24-hour staffing and access to in-house psychological support. Holmhurst also offers structured activity programmes to support education and personal development designed to maximise independence and enable service users to achieve their goals.
