Bristol to see return of Care Roadshows

Bristol to see return of Care Roadshows
On Tuesday 21st October, Care Roadshows are returning to Ashton Gate Stadium for a day of educational seminars, interactive workshops and a dedicated exhibition for the care community in and around Bristol.

Exhibitors range from software providers Advanced Health and Care and purchasing solution experts Sharecare, to curtains and soft furnishing producers Edmund Bell and care consumables giants Care Shop.

Alongside the exhibition, a free seminar programme offers visitors the chance to find out the CQC’s latest updates from its Head of Inspection for South Central and South Coast, Debbie Ivanova.  Debbie’s seminar, ‘Achieving quality in the new era’, will explain the CQC’s plans for transforming how they will monitor, inspect and regulate care homes and other adult social care services, with a greater focus on involvement and improvement.

There will also be a seminar session from Sheila Scott, Chief Executive of the National Care Association, during which she will ask the question: ‘What do we all need to know to keep up with new legislation this year?’

For those focusing on dementia Pauline Cameron’s seminar for the DSDC will look at ‘Meaningful activity for people with dementia’ and why is it important that we understand the impact of the illness when facilitating participation in activity for a person with dementia.
