Residents at a Burton-on-Trent care home got into the spirit of pantomime season recently as they enjoyed a performance of the Wizard of Oz.

The residents from Hoar Cross Nursing Home ventured to the other side of the rainbow during the traditional performance, by Tickled Pink Productions. The hour-long spectacle brought Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion and many more characters to life in the comfort of the place everyone calls home.

Kathy Cleaver, Registered Manager RGN at Hoar Cross Nursing Home said: “Our team had plenty of laughs and cheers during this entertaining and amusing performance. We will certainly not forget the performance, in fact I’m sure it will be part of many conversations for some time.”

Packed full of recognisable songs the timeless story was performed with an adaptable set, which transformed the main living area of the care home into the magical space of the yellow brick road.
